1. About HireIndex
HireIndex ("we", "our", "us") operates hireindex.app, a static job directory listing AI/ML roles indexed by skill and city. We do not require user accounts and we do not sell your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
We do not directly collect personal information. HireIndex is a static site — there are no user registrations, comment forms, or first-party analytics tracking. We do not set first-party cookies, and we do not run advertising on the site.
3. Cookies and Tracking
HireIndex sets no cookies of its own and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We do not build behavioural profiles of visitors, and there is no consent banner because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.
Two third parties may receive standard technical request data simply because your browser loads resources from or through them:
- Google Fonts — pages load web fonts from Google's font CDN, which may log standard request metadata (such as your IP address and user agent). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — our hosting provider serves the site and may log standard request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
4. GDPR — Rights for EEA and UK Residents
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR and UK GDPR:
- Right of access — request a copy of any personal data held about you.
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data.
- Right to restriction — limit how your data is processed.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
As HireIndex does not directly collect personal data, these rights apply primarily to data held by the providers named in Section 3. To exercise rights against HireIndex directly, contact us at hello@hireindex.app. We will respond within 30 days.
5. CCPA — Rights for California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.
- Request deletion of personal information we hold.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising CCPA rights.
We do not sell personal information and we do not collect personal information beyond the standard technical request data described in Section 3. To make a request, email hello@hireindex.app.
6. Data Retention
HireIndex does not store personal data on its servers. Any technical request logs are retained by the providers named in Section 3 under their own retention schedules.
7. Third-Party Links
Job listings on HireIndex link directly to company career pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or data handling of those external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
8. Children's Privacy
HireIndex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or process information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us at hello@hireindex.app and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be noted here. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
