Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hireindex.app and any products or services offered through it (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About HireIndex
HireIndex ("we", "our", "us") operates hireindex.app, a job directory listing AI/ML roles indexed by skill and city, and offers paid company hiring reports. HireIndex is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the companies whose job listings appear in the directory.
2. Use of the Service
You may browse and use HireIndex for your own personal or professional purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from the Service at scale, or use automated means to access it in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Resell, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the directory or any paid report without our written permission.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
3. Job Listings and Data Accuracy
Job listings on HireIndex are aggregated from public company career pages (via providers such as Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby) and refreshed weekly. We do our best to keep the directory accurate, but we cannot guarantee that any listing is current, complete, or error-free. Roles may be filled, withdrawn, or changed by the hiring company before our next refresh. Listings link directly to external career pages; we are not responsible for the content, availability, or hiring decisions of those external sites or companies.
HireIndex does not process job applications, and we are not a recruiter, employment agency, or party to any hiring relationship. Applying to a role is solely between you and the hiring company.
4. Paid Hiring Reports
HireIndex offers a paid company hiring report, currently priced at USD $9 per report. Each report includes a hiring trend chart, a role list with locations, a peer comparison, and an analyst narrative covering the company at the time of generation, delivered as a PDF together with a series of weekly refresh emails as described at the point of purchase.
The reports are informational analyses derived from publicly available hiring data. They are provided for general guidance only and do not constitute financial, investment, employment, or professional advice. You should not rely on a report as the sole basis for any decision.
5. Payments
Payments for reports are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your full payment card details; these are handled directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. By purchasing a report, you authorise the charge to your selected payment method and confirm that you are permitted to use it. All prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise and are exclusive of any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
6. Refunds
Because reports are delivered digitally, all sales are final once the report has been generated and delivered, except as set out here. If a report fails to generate, is not delivered, or materially does not match what was described at purchase, contact us at hello@hireindex.app within 7 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. We may also issue refunds at our discretion. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.
7. Intellectual Property
The HireIndex name, site design, original written analysis, market insights, blog content, and the structure and presentation of the directory are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Underlying job data originates from third-party career pages and remains the property of the respective companies. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our original content without permission, except for ordinary personal use and customary quotation with attribution.
8. Disclaimers
The Service and all reports are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any listing or report is accurate or up to date.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireIndex and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any report. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a paid report is limited to the amount you paid for that report. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HireIndex and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Material changes will be noted here. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
